Description of Service:

Early Childhood Supports: resource teachers, communication consultants, behavior therapists consult to families in early childhood settings.

Pilot Parents: parent to parent support for newcomers to Toronto and for parents with a newborn or young child with an intellectual disability.

Behaviour Supports and Home Management: in-home support and linkages to community supports.

Sibling Shops: workshops for siblings of children with developmental disabilities.

Recreation: day respite and recreational opportunities during summer and throughout the year in cooperation with local Parks and Recreation.

Shadow Lake Centre: recreational facility operating 3 weekends per month between September and May, during March break, December holidays and throughout the summer months.  Age 7+

Residential and Respite Services: call intake at 647-426-3219.  Harold Lawson residence, 24 hour assessment pre-placement visit is required and offer of service is contingent on this assessment.  Ages 2-22

Person Directed Planning: supports youth in identifying their work, volunteer, and recreational goals.

Youth2work: supports youth transitioning from school to work.

Career Facilitation and Planning for Youth/Adult: employment training centres and assistance in community based competitive employment

Reference Library and Information: telephone and web based information.

Residential Respite Program: short or long term. Activities include recreation, community-based activities and training programs.

Advocacy: for individuals with developmental disabilities and provides a wide range of supports
